Class Descriptions

Yoga - 45-min class
Come and relax! Yoga is a safely designed workout to strengthen the core muscles of the abdominal and back. Soft relaxing music, slow controlled movements that lengthen and strengthen the body. Beginners welcome.

SilverSneakers "Classic" - 45-min class
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Zumba Gold - 45-min class
High intensity with low impact cardiovascular class. Taking the zumba formula including Latin and other dance moves pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Tai Chi - 45-min class
Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that involves a series of controlled movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. This class will help develop body awareness and the ability to relax deeply along with improving balance and coordination.

Senior Fit - 45-min class
No matter your fitness level come have fun and get fit. Using a variety of free weights, resistance bands, chairs and exercise ball you will improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, range of motion and balance with low to moderate intensity.

Get up and Go - 45-min class
Get Up And Go! Is a boot camp style workout class designed to wake up the muscles! This class is a total body workout that focuses on toning, tightening, cardiovascular strength and strengthening the body for better accomplishing day to day activities.

B.A.C.K Boot Camp - 30-min group training
This is a rigorous 30 minute class designed to be a bridge between group classes and personal training. The class is called B.A.C.K or "Booty, Abs, Cardio, Knoxville"and focuses on conditioning the body, burning fat, and building muscle. The class structure revolves around a combination of HIIT Cardio (high intensity interval training), circuit training, and plyometric exercises. This class is not considered group fitness—it is group training taught by Certified Personal Trainer, Jessie Richardson; thus is a $5 charge for members and non-members.
